Neutral wall color to sell house?
They say walls must be off white to sell a house. Would you buy a house with colors that were tasteful, but not neutral? i.e. Sage Green, Red Dining Room,Contemporary Blue, etc. Or, is there a slight edge to the " Neutral" home?

Need help w/ kitchen counters. can't sell house after 8 mos. what's the cheapest material to use for counters?

we have our house for sale with two estate agent in our area but in a year we have only had two viewings even after reducing the price as advised ,but stil no response ,we are looking to move to a larger property with some land but i don,t know what else to do to sell this house they seem to have advertised the house plenty on the internet but still no viewing . any ideas??house is a five bedroomed detached dormer bungalow with 1 3 acre garden 32ft heated swimming pool not over looked front or back and i ve dropped it from 495.000 to 450.00 which is below a lot of other houses this size in our area we had it decorated inside and out before putting it on market so it,s not in need of decorating apart from personal choice .don't really know whats wrong with it.

Should we put in carpet or hardwood flooring to sell house?
We are in the process of getting our house ready to put on the market in about a year or so. Most of the house except kitchen bath foyer is carpeted. The foyer has wood flooring. My question is should we put hardwood throughout the house with the exception of the bedrooms or just put new carpet in. I am trying to get the most bang for my buck. So far the the bids I have gotten are between $5,000 7000.00 to just do the hardwood with about an additional $1500.00 to do the carpet for the bedrooms. My husband is insisting on doing the hardwood. I say replace the carpet with carpet, but redo the foyer area. I estimate that this will save us about $4,000. I don't want to put too much money into the house. What do you think?The carpet definitely has to go. Because of the price point of our neighborhood $110,000 150,000 in the Atlanta area which is considered on the inexpensive side of real estate here, I don't want to invest too much hoping to get my money back. My overall budget is approximately $15,000.00 including new appliances and hvac I want to make the house move in ready, but I am not trying to create the " dream" house since we never know what the buyer really wants. Besides, every dollar we put into the house hoping to get back is another dollar being taken away from my new home and savings.

Where can i sell house blueprints i have made myself?
I have drafted up a pretty large set of blueprints of custom homes and I would like to sell them but I don't know where? I am not a professional architect so what should I do?

Going to sell house, need advice?
Me and my husband have a single story house on a slab foundation, and the air ducts used to be in the floor. We had to get them all redone and ran through the attic a few years ago, and they poured concrete inside the old holes. It hasn't really bothered us much because our furniture covers it, but now we might need to sell house in the next few months.Our carpet is in fairly good condition, and I was hoping to not have to replace all of it throughout the house just because of those small holes. I've thought about buying some new vent covers to place over the holes, and maybe the potential buyer won't notice that there are vent covers in the ceiling and the floor, lol. Any ideas? Thanks

i want to buy a house that has a backyeard, the house is in front of a beautiful lake or w.e i want it to be greeny like in the front theres lawn or w.e that makes the house look nice and peaceful. the price can be however i dont care about the price. it has to have at least 1 rm and 1 batthroom and at least 2 floors

Mom selling house i dont want her to?
My mom is gonna try and sell our house. She is about to put it on the market and I dont wanna move. The house is old but beautiful and in great shape except the heating and air conditioner needs replacing and all the pipes under the house need replacing because they could go at any minute. Those two things are the 2 reasons were are selling the house because we cant afford a new heat and air system, and new pipes under the house. But i love this house with a passion and so does my mom. what can we do to have to keep from moving. the heat and air need to be replaced soon and so do the pipes but we cant afford to replace them, so what else can we do about it besides moving. Its the best house we could ever get and we wouldnt ever have a house as nice as this one.Well we had a leak in one of the pipes and when the plumber put in a new pipe another pipe would spring a leak and it would keep springing leaks when he put in a new pip then he finnally got them to stop and he said the pipes were to go at any minute

Can i really seriously retire by buying and selling houses?
For example when i watch HOME& GARDEN television there is lots of shows how people buy a house in pretty ugly shape for 200 thousand and then reshape it for maximum 2 thousand dollars and see the price sky rocket to 275 thousand Is it just a show or can this really be done cause if this can really be done then i better start this right now and i want answers from people who know something about real estate cause i want real answers And ofcourse i would like to thannk you in advance

Inexpensive Way to Landscape Front Yard to Sell House?
I need to put our house on the market within the next 2 months. Most of our grass has died and we have crabgrass. Small front yard. One large tree. Bushes planted up against front of house that are dying dead. Any ideas on a relatively inexpensive DIY way to improve the appearance of the yard in order to get it sold? I live in a southeastern state that gets a fair amount of rain and it's chilly cold right now.Thanks in advance

I wanted someone to explain how buying selling houses work? If i bought a house worth 125k, and borrowed a mortgage of 100k putting down 25k deposit and decided to sell after 3 years and property is worth 150k then... how much would i earn? How much would i owe and how much would i have available if i wanted to buy another bigger house???So in theory will i get back what i put down as deposit and what the house gained in value over time?What happens to the mortgage re payments would i get a return on that also??
