Cannot sell house?
we have our house for sale with two estate agent in our area but in a year we have only had two viewings even after reducing the price as advised ,but stil no response ,we are looking to move to a larger property with some land but i don,t know what else to do to sell this house they seem to have advertised the house plenty on the internet but still no viewing . any ideas??house is a five bedroomed detached dormer bungalow with 1 3 acre garden 32ft heated swimming pool not over looked front or back and i ve dropped it from 495.000 to 450.00 which is below a lot of other houses this size in our area we had it decorated inside and out before putting it on market so it,s not in need of decorating apart from personal choice .don't really know whats wrong with it.

Should we put in carpet or hardwood flooring to sell house?
We are in the process of getting our house ready to put on the market in about a year or so. Most of the house except kitchen bath foyer is carpeted. The foyer has wood flooring. My question is should we put hardwood throughout the house with the exception of the bedrooms or just put new carpet in. I am trying to get the most bang for my buck. So far the the bids I have gotten are between $5,000 7000.00 to just do the hardwood with about an additional $1500.00 to do the carpet for the bedrooms. My husband is insisting on doing the hardwood. I say replace the carpet with carpet, but redo the foyer area. I estimate that this will save us about $4,000. I don't want to put too much money into the house. What do you think?The carpet definitely has to go. Because of the price point of our neighborhood $110,000 150,000 in the Atlanta area which is considered on the inexpensive side of real estate here, I don't want to invest too much hoping to get my money back. My overall budget is approximately $15,000.00 including new appliances and hvac I want to make the house move in ready, but I am not trying to create the " dream" house since we never know what the buyer really wants. Besides, every dollar we put into the house hoping to get back is another dollar being taken away from my new home and savings.

Going to sell house, need advice?
Me and my husband have a single story house on a slab foundation, and the air ducts used to be in the floor. We had to get them all redone and ran through the attic a few years ago, and they poured concrete inside the old holes. It hasn't really bothered us much because our furniture covers it, but now we might need to sell house in the next few months.Our carpet is in fairly good condition, and I was hoping to not have to replace all of it throughout the house just because of those small holes. I've thought about buying some new vent covers to place over the holes, and maybe the potential buyer won't notice that there are vent covers in the ceiling and the floor, lol. Any ideas? Thanks

Leaky faucet and about to sell house?
It had to be the kitchen faucet and right before the house goes on the market. Tried replacing the washer but it's still drop...drop...drop...drop...drop . Any help?It is new. It was installed sometime in 2008. I'm talking about my moms house so I don't have very good details.

Crack in basement wall (underground) and does not leak. How can I fix this if selling house?
This is the house I grew up in, built in 1956. My sister and I are going to sell the house. This crack follows the mortar joints of the cinder blocks, all the way across the house. There is no leaking and when I probe the crack approx. 1 2" wide it seems to be solid, leading me to believe the mortar is intact on the other side of the blocks.

When selling house is it better to put in new carpet, leave old or renew hardwood floors if underneath?
The carpet is rather dated, and my roommates cat tore a couple holes in the stuff also. Would giving the buyers if I ever find any credit towards getting any color new carpet they want better than installing a color they might not like?House was built in late '50's.

Re-do my room before selling house and making a new style for me? help!?
right now my bedroom is the biggest room in the house, with a sky light, and enough walking room to throw a party in. i want to move into something a bit more contemporary, and smaller, because keeping up with my room is hard. im 13 years old, but i want to go for a modern look. i have a set, which consists of a queen bed, a nightstand, and a dresser. i really want everything in my room to match. i want a dark color because its relaxing and im a male and to have everything in dark colors like grays, browns, beige, anything like that. is there anything that i should do to get ready to switch my room? plus i need to do this because im selling my house soon and have to get ready. anyways, i like less clutter, and dark contemporary prints. is there anything at all that i need to do before actually switching my room?

Can i really seriously retire by buying and selling houses?
For example when i watch HOME& GARDEN television there is lots of shows how people buy a house in pretty ugly shape for 200 thousand and then reshape it for maximum 2 thousand dollars and see the price sky rocket to 275 thousand Is it just a show or can this really be done cause if this can really be done then i better start this right now and i want answers from people who know something about real estate cause i want real answers And ofcourse i would like to thannk you in advance

cleaning. I put floers out front and fake ones in the kitchen in a vase. I have lots of candles and incents and if someone is fixing to come look at it I put cinnamon and cloves on the stove top and let it boil for a good smell. Any other ideas? I appreciate all your help floers flowers
