I have been literally stalking houses that have been on the Market since February in Frisco TX. Houses are not selling. They keep putting them on the market and off for a few weeks and then back on. What are the odds of selling a house?
My sister has a home in Brooklyn Center, MN and there are many things wrong with it. An old gas stove, cabinets that are falling apart, holes in the wall in the basement, tiles coming up in the bathroom, botched carpeting in the living room that shows that it had been cut and more added. There are also tiles that are coming off the wall behind the stove in the kitchen, and bulbs on the ceiling with no coverings. She is trying to sell it asap and doesn't want to do any work. In the summer the yard is also loaded with weeds and it really can look ghetto, but it is in an upscale area.

What is a good color to paint a living room when selling a house?
We have original wood molding and trim looks like mahogany, has a reddish tint to the wood. Also, our bedroom is painted white and " October Red" a deep, fall red. Is this too bold? We installed board and batten on the lower half of the wall it's kind of like wainscoting so the only part that is red is about 3 4 feet on the upper part of the wall. I've included a pic. I really didn't want to paint but want opinions on whether I should.
